The theme for this year set by the World Foundation of Mental Health is โMental health is a universal human right.โ Despite knowing that mental health is a universal right there are still individuals who face more barriers than others to develop and achieve good mental health. Further, this is also a reminder that mental health is necessary to everyone, and that each individual has a role to play in everyoneโs mental health (NCMH Crisis hotline, 2021). Therefore, it is important to raise awareness and drive positive change for everyone's mental health.
In line with the World Mental Health Month, the Office of Guidance and Testing Services (OGTS) will be conducting a 3-Day Mental Health Wellness Activities which will be held on October 9-11, 2023. The activity aims to 1.) promote awareness of mental health and self-care; 2.) integrate wellness activities in all classes and offices; and 3.) participate in the different wellness activities.

Four well-respected public servants will lead the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) Class of 2023 in a series of graduation ceremonies to be held this September.
The PLM Board of Regents voted to confer honorary doctorate degrees to Hon. Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Martin "Koko" Pimentel III; former Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Judy Taguiwalo, PhD; Her Excellency United States Ambassador Chantale Wong; and Hon. Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo in recognition of their substantial contributions to the academe, public service, as well as towards social and economic development.
