The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila is immensely proud of three if its undergraduate students who were deemed the best programmers in all of Metro Manila.
 
Students from the College of Engineering and Technology emerged as winners in the recently concluded competition hosted by the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines Student Edition.
 
Second year student Rhoien Bergola was hailed as the overall champion for Java programming, while Mark Allen Alberto emerged as the champion for the use of C++.
 
Third year student James Lawrence Cruz was crowned as the overall champion for the Python programming category.

CET faculty members Engr. Marc Reinhard Ballon, Engr. Steven Laurence Ballerda, and Engr. Evelyn Carolino served as their coaches.
 
“We are so thrilled to see our students emerge at the top of their respective fields this early. This is yet again another testament to the quality of education which PLM offers to the Filipino youth. Congratulations!,” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said.
 
PLM recognized the three programming champions through a brief ceremony on Monday, December 6 during the regular virtual flag raising ceremony.
 
They will now compete against other regional winners for the national championships.
