The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila celebrates another good news as 20 of its recent graduates passed the December 2021 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination.

Results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Monday showed a 95.24% passing rate for PLM test takers, with 20 of 21 examinees making the cut. This also placed PLM as the third best performing school among those with more than 20 examinees.

PLM also performed better than the national passing rate of 68.97%, awarding licenses to 978 new physical therapists out of 1,418 applicants.

“The PLM administration beams with pride anew as our physical therapy alumni yielded a strong passing rate in the licensure examination. Congratulations!,” University President Emmanuel Leyco said.

“We hope to sustain the quality of education that we are offering to students especially now that the College of Physical Therapy has started offering limited face-to-face classes after nearly two years of closure. This is an encouragement that we are on the right track,” he added.

Professional ID cards will be issued to the exam passers between January 17-28, 2022 while the schedule of the oath taking ceremony will be announced at a later date, according to the PRC.
