Prof. Harold Perfecto R. Galang, a concert pianist, choral conductor, music educator, and administrator, currently serves as the inaugural Dean of the PLM College of Music. He has been part of the PLM community since 2014, initially joining as a Consultant and Chair of the President’s Committee for Arts and Culture (PCACS), and progressively advancing to Associate Professor V.
In a unanimous decision on 11 August 2023, the PLM Board of Regents confirmed the appointment of Dean Galang as the Dean of the PLM College of Music with a 2-year term. Concurrently, he continues to serve as Vice Chair of the Arts and Culture Section of the PCACS.
Dean Galang's journey is characterized by excellence, with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance (summa cum laude) from the Philippine Women’s University School of Music and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the Musashino Musicae Academia. Dean Galang is a product of the Philippine High School for the Arts where he graduated as Valedictorian of his batch. He continues to garner accolades from national music competitions and perform on stages across five continents. Beyond his musical prowess, Dean Galang's expertise extends to leadership roles and participation in esteemed panels, including the Technical Panel for Music and Music Education of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), as well as the Accrediting Panel for Overseas Performing Artist (OPA) under the aegis of the Technical Education Development Authority (TESDA).
