The PLM President joined the College of Education in celebrating their Annual Pinning Ceremony for Incoming Practice Teachers held today, January 29, 9:00 a.m. at the San Andres Sports Complex, Malate, Manila. This is to officially acknowledge the practice teachers stepping into the teaching field with their passion and honed skills, aiming to influence and enlighten the future generations.

Prof. Roel Calano, Alumnus and Faculty of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila College of Engineering, was recognized by the American Journal of Mathematics for his work on the pi formula, which is a computer program and simulation that converges readily even after many iterations. He devised an outstanding Pi formula that combines infinite summation and product. The model and method can be used to test the speed, accuracy, and repagination process of Microsoft Excel. In addition, the formula can be utilized for digital signature, security, and numeric coding.
