The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) College of Humanities, Arts and Sciences needs twenty four (24) part-time faculty personnel with the following qualifications:

  1. DEPARTMENT OF MASS COMMUNICATION

     POSITION: Four (4) Part-Time Faculty Members

     QUALIFICATIONS:

(a) At least a master’s degree in communication or allied fields (public relations,  development communication, communication research, etc.)

(b) Holders of master’s degree in social sciences or humanities, with at least five (5) years of part-time teaching experience

(c) In lieu of master’s degree program, demonstrably distinguished media and relevant industry practice characterized by any of the following:

  • Minimum five (5) years active practice in communication and media
  • Must have an outstanding track record (i.e. awards received), or
  • Must have held at least managerial position
  • Must be willing to teach under Face-to-Face (onsite) Learning Modality

SUBJECTS TO TEACH:

                         Integrated Marketing Communication; Multimedia Performance; Theater; Creative Writing; Communication Research; Multimedia Storytelling; Digital Imaging; Risk, Disaster, and Humanitarian Communication; Media Operations and Management; and Corporate Communication

  1. DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES

     POSITION: Seventeen (17) Part-Time Faculty Members

QUALIFICATIONS:

(a) At least  Master’s degree holder with the specialization in Social Sciences, Philosophy, Political Science, History, Humanities, International Studies, and any other related fields; in lieu of master’s degree program, at least in Thesis writing stage in master’s degree program or completed Comprehensive Examination stage

(b) With minimum two (2) years full-time/part-time teaching experience

(c) With good standing (i.e., Student Faculty Evaluation, compliant with college/university requirements)

(d) Must be willing to teach under Face-to-Face (onsite) Learning Modality

SUBJECTS TO TEACH:

                         Ethics; The Contemporary World; Life and Works of Rizal; and Art Appreciation; Readings in Philippine History; Logic and Critical Thinking; Philippine Indigenous Community

  1. DEPARTMENT OF LANGUAGES AND LITERATURE

      POSITION: Three (3) Part-Time Faculty Members

      QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least Master’s degree holder with the specialization in Literature and Languages either in English and Filipino; in lieu of master’s degree program, at least in Thesis writing stage in master's degree program or completed Comprehensive Examination stage;
  • With minimum two (2) years full-time/part-time teaching experience;
  • With good standing (i.e., Student Faculty Evaluation, compliant with college/university requirements);
  • Must be willing to teach under Face-to-Face (onsite) Learning Modality

SUBJECTS TO TEACH:

                         Purposive Communication; Philippine Pop Culture; Great Books; and Reading Visual Art.
