Graduates of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) College of Law clinched a 100% passing rate in the 2020-2021 Bar examinations.

The performance of schools was announced by Bar chairman and Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. PLM is among seven schools under Group 3, or law schools with 11 to 50 first-time Bar takers, which mustered such a feat.

"Congratulations to the new lawyers! May you join the ranks of lawyers who will promote social justice embodying the principles of Karunungan, Kaunlaran, at Kadakilaan in the practice of your profession,” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso also congratulated the graduates through a phone call to President Leyco, as he reaffirmed the support and recognition of the latter's leadership and his team along with the continued support of the City Government of Manila.

The 31 new PLM lawyers are part of the 8,241 out of 11,402 test takers who are now full-fledged lawyers, a record number of passers in history following the consolidated Bar examinations for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

They are also the first passers under the fully digital and regionalized battery of examinations which took place on February 4 and 6 following multiple postponements.
