The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) served as the meeting point of young and bright minds as it hosted the 2nd Manila Intellectual Property, Innovation & Business Incubation Expo or MIPIBIEx.
In partnership with the Division of City Schools-Manila, the University welcomed delegates from various high schools in the city to provide a springboard for creativity and innovation on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
The expo provided equal opportunities for learners to contribute through various fields of study from scientific research and robotics; song, dance, and art; and even models for sustainable businesses and smart cities.
“Our University is humbled and grateful to be chosen as the venue for this year’s MIPIBIEx. Innovation plays a huge role in societal progress, and we certainly welcome initiatives to introduce new products, services, and technology if only to help advance the welfare of our people,” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said in his welcoming remarks.
The MIPIBIEx is also in observance of the National Innovation Day on April 21. The event is also supported by the City Government of Manila under the leadership of Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan, the Department of Science and Technology, together with other agencies and private partners.
