Congratulations!!! to our PLM Students from the College of Medicine for being the Champion in the recently held 7th Agaton T. Panopio Intermedical School Physiology Quiz Competition hosted by the Philippine Society of Physiologists, Inc.

Wetland Center Design Competition for Macabebe Mangrove and Coastal Site

The Society for the Conservation of Philippine Wetlands (SCPW), in partnership with one of the leading integrated property developers in Southeast Asia, SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SM Prime), successfully concluded the fourth Wetland Center Design Competition, an architecture student design competition.
Held in conjunction with the International Day for Biological Diversity 2024, the competition focused on creating a sustainable Wetland Center Complex for the Macabebe Mangrove and Coastal Site in Brgy. Consuelo, Macabebe, Pampanga.
The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynilaโ€™s entry, โ€œBankauan,โ€ emerged as the first place winner of the competition. De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) secured the second spot with their design, โ€œIsnawa,โ€ while the National University (NU) rounded out the top three with their entry, โ€œTalisayan.โ€ The three schools emerged at the top, besting four other schools.
The event was also supported by the Living Lakes Biodiversity and Climate Project (LLBCP), Unilever Philippines, and Maynilad.

The UP Open University (UPOU) and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today
The UP Open University (UPOU) and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today, 27 June 2024, at the UPOU Headquarters in Los Baรฑos, Laguna. This exciting collaboration aims to strengthen ties between the institutions and foster academic exchange in areas of mutual interest.
The MOU signing was led by Dr. Melinda dela Peรฑa Bandalaria, UPOU Chancellor; Dr. Primo G. Garcia, UPOU Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Atty. Domingo Y. Reyes, Jr., PLM President; and Dr. Dan Michael A. Cortez, PLM Vice President for Research, Academic, and Extension Services.
This partnership will pave the way for several initiatives, including the development of joint venture projects between UPOU and PLM, the organization of joint academic and scientific activities such as courses, conferences, seminars, symposia, or lectures, and the exchange of materials and publications of common interest.
Also present during the MOU signing were Asst. Prof. Luisa A. Gelisan, University Registrar, Dr. Finaflor F. Taylan, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Management and Development Studies (FMDS), and Dr. Maria Lourdes T. Jarabe, Assistant Professor at FMDS.
The PLM team, on the other hand, included Dr. Ronald P. Romero, VP for Academic Affairs, Atty. Relson P. Moral, Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. Lou-rena S. Boquilla, Admin Officer, OVPRAES.
